I was curious what the world of AI thinks 2 months after the initial poll and gave the same chatbots the exact same prompt like I did in early January.
To my big surprise the picture changed indeed – significantly !
Below is the comparison of the 2 response to the prompt:

It is very interesting to see, that almost all models now come to the same conclusions and I wonder is this because of they all use now more and more the same underlying data or is the underlying data itself no more “precise” and points towards a 2032 date.
Another interesting fact was that most models mentioned in their response, that
It is already difficult and expensive to get a 6-axis robot to be certified for ISO-2 or better. A humanoid has a lot of joints to seal for such environments.

Thank you for reading and commenting. Yes, I agree – but this problem has been solved for many version of clean room mobile robots already, so I assume, it will be possible for humanoids as well – maybe as an interims solution humanoids could wear in true human fashion a clean room suit until the hardware is fixed ?

In my view, this story has two sides:
1. What we think AI can do — or are led to believe it can do
2. What AI can actually do today
→ The more you work with AI, the clearer your understanding becomes of what it can truly deliver today.
Given that, the major shifts in perception don’t surprise me. The pace of AI development is matched by the pace at which our understanding of its real capabilities evolves. So it’s completely reasonable that the picture changes significantly within just two months.
